Overview

  • The College provides education for only girls. Teaching is conducted in English and stress is laid on attainment of the fluency and adequate command of written and spoken English. Hindi and Sanskrit are given due importance. Teaching takes places through both and formal and informal curricula.Due emphasis is laid informal methods as well such as subject projects; educational games etc. to inculcate in the students an interest for the different subjects. Parent-teacher meeting is held regularly to promise cooperation and better under-standing among the parents and the staff of the college.

    • The college is affiliated to the council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi and prepares its students for the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination (class X) and the Indian School Certificate Examination (class XII)

    Academic Session :

    • The academic session is from April to March with the final examination for promotion held in March, with the final examination for promotion in March each year.

    COURSE OF STUDY AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

    1. Nursery/Lower K.G./Upper K.G: Preparatory course suitable for preparing children for school curriculum.
    2. Class I-VIII: Course in English, Maths, Science, S. Studies, Hindi, Sanskrit, Computer, Art and Moral Science.
    3. Class IX-X: General Education in all the subjects as laid down by the council is provided for class IX-X College. Provides Courses of study in English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Computer Application, SPUW, Environmental Science, Economics and Commercial studies.
    4. Class XI & XII : College provides education in following two stream: English and Commerce
      1. Science : English, Physical Education, Maths /Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Hindi/Computer Science,
      2. Commerce: English, Physical Education, Commerce, Accounts, Economics. Computer Science, Hindi, Physical Education

    CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/HOBBIES:

    1. Beside academic course, the College provides co-curricular activities like debates, dramatics, elocution, music, art and craft, SUPW, electronics, carpentry, photography, etc. for the all-round development of the students.
    2. Games and Sports: The College has large playground for Hockey, Football, Cricket, Athletics, Gymnastics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball etc. It provides facilities for Judo and Taekwondo.
    3. Physical and Health Education: For Physical education and fitness, regular training in imparted to develop healthy living habits and yoga is also practiced.
    4. Function and Programme: College Annual Concert, Teachers Day, Children’s Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti etc. are celebrated with cultural and field activities organized according to spirit and purpose of the occasion.
    5. Service of the Community: Awareness and action oriented programmes are organized in which participation is compulsory for all students.
    6. Other Activities: Excursion, picnics, Art Craft and Science exhibition, College fete and various projects are organized during each academic year.
